Library & Collections
The California Automobile Museum hosts an extensive collection of automotive materials in its library that continues to grow. Our collection includes a wide variety of publications and also include archives of other printed documents.
There are books on various automotive topics, biographies, fiction, and technical manuals. Over 70 years of history is represented in our magazine collections, as well as large car club publications. The largest archive in our collection is of sales brochures of cars, dating back to the early 1900s.
Do you want a part of our library to take home? We sell duplicate copies of books and magazines in our gift shop!
We welcome donations to our library! If your library donation is the size of two banker boxes or less, you may visit the Museum during any of our open hours to complete your donation.
If your donation is larger, the front desk staff will not be able to accept it; please contact the library so we can make arrangements.
