The California Automobile Museum’s Research Library and Archives is a library and archive that
collects all types of materials that documents and preserves the history of the automobile, the
industry, and the hobby. The collection contains thousands of books and non-book materials,
archival collections, various other archival materials, and 3-dimensional artifacts relating to the
automobile. All of our materials have not yet been cataloged into our Online Catalog.
The Research Library and Archives collects and preserves these thousands of automotive
materials to support the mission of the Museum. These materials are also available to the
general public, restorers, researchers, collectors, authors, journalists, students, and anyone
with an interest in automobiles. We share your passion for preserving automotive history.
