Model A Basics & Driving Class
September 29 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm$65 - $75
The Model A has a special place in automotive history; it pioneered the modern manual transmission (or “stick shift”) and was nearly as popular as it’s predecessor, the Model T! Come down to the Museum to learn all about this centerpiece of automotive history and then…drive one!
Participants will learn a short history of the illustrious Ford Model A, as well as the basic operations and maintenance of the car. The highlight of the class, of course, will be taking the driver’s seat of one of the antique Model As and test driving it for yourself! This class is a mix of classroom instruction and hands-on activities with a Model A.
Knowledge of manual transmissions is handy, but not required. Attendees must have a valid driver’s license. The class is taught by the Sacramento Capitol A’s Model A Club
This class includes lunch; be sure to let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions in your class registration. The cost for this class registration is $75 for general public and $65 for Museum members. Want to save on all our classes and events? Become a Gearhead member today!
