Go Like Hell: Brunch with AJ Baime

A.J. Baime is the author of Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari, and Their Battle for Speed
and Glory at Le Mans, which tells the true story now the subject of a major
motion picture. The book won the Ken Purdy Award from the International Motor
Press Association, and in writing it, Baime interviewed all the men who lived this
true story--many of whom have since passed on, from Lee Iacocca to Carroll
Shelby, Dan Gurney to Phil Hill.
The California Automobile Museum is proud to present A.J.Baime in person
Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019. He will speak about his influential book and the
presentation will include rare documentary footage of the actual events leading
up to this famous rivalry in the 60’s between these two automotive giants.
He’ll be answering questions, signing books and posing for photos after the talk,
which begins at 10:30. Cost is $20/museum members and $25/non-members
and includes a light brunch, coffee, tea and water.

book, The Accidental President: Harry S. Truman and the Four Months That
Changed the World, was published in 2017.
Baime is a longtime regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal, and his articles
have also appeared in the New York Times, Popular Science, and Men’s
Journal. He holds an MA in literature from NYU and currently lives in Granite
Bay, CA. Baime is featured prominently in The 24 Hour War, a feature-length documentary
film produced by Adam Carolla and Nate Adams in 2016.
