Third Thursday: “Who Killed The Electric Car?”

To go with our current exhibit It’s Electrifying! Alternative Fuel Vehicles in California, presented by SMUD, the California Automobile Museum will be showing the movie “Who Killed The Electric Car” to encourage discussion about the electric vehicle industry as highlighted in the exhibit. Plus, the movie discusses GM’s EV1 which you will be able to look at in person at the Museum!
Q&A time to follow with a Professor Andy Frank of UC Davis and a former EV1 owner and local electric vehicle enthusiast .
Beer and wine will be sold at happy hour prices starting at 5pm. This is a great event for car enthusiasts of all ages. The movie will start at 6pm, feel free to arrive early. Free with general admission.
The California Automobile Museum stays open late every 3rd Thursday of the month! 3rd Thursday nights are perfect way to spend some time out with that special someone, get the family together for an evening out, or a great group get together. We have a large space filled with over 150 cars that tell the history of the automobile. Come explore, and get lost in time at the California Automobile Museum’s 3rd Thursday nights at the Museum.
3rd Thursday nights at the California Automobile Museum were established to allow visitors to come on a weekday after work or for busy college students looking for a sweet escape. This Museum has 150+ on display and is well worth a visit. At times we schedule informative panels on emerging and historical technological advances, books signings, live music from local bands, wine tastings, and so much more.
