From the Desk of our Executive Director, Karen McClaflin
I am sad to say we are losing our bookkeeper and membership coordinator of over eight years, Olessya Zhuk. With more institutional knowledge than anyone else here, we will miss her greatly; not just for that, but also her beauty, grace and Russian accent! For years, she has hounded us to turn in that last receipt, to be accurate in our cash counts and to eat healthy and exercise (she’s had less than a handful of sick days in her tenure, so she knows what she’s talking about)!
As I begin the search for someone to (impossibly) take her place, I’m reminded of how many transitions the Museum has gone through, how difficult the changes are at the time, but how the organization weathers them and survives.
